Workday - App

Manage your absences in one app! Do you want to take vacation or got sick and need to submit a sick note? 

We will explain to you how to navigate:

App download / Log-in

In order to download the new HR Workday App, please follow the following steps:

 

  • You can install it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • After installing the app, please enter Wolt as organization.

  • Then choose Courier Partner Login.

  • Enter your username: It is your email address that you have used to apply.

  • Enter the password you have received as a separate SMS.

  • Do not save this password, if the app asks you to do so.

  • You will be asked to create a new password. Make sure to save it at a safe place!

How to change the app language

  • Click on the Wolt sign in the upper left corner.

  • Click Settings/Einstellung. 

  • Click Global Preferences /Globale Einstellungen. 

  • Change Preferred Display Language/Bevorzugte Anzeigesprache to English or German.

  • Click done in the upper right corner. 

  • Sign out and back in to apply the change. 

How to request Sick Leaves

All requests require approval from an HR team member. Dates requested are outlined in gray dots. Once approved, a green circle will appear.

Sick Leave with an E-certificate:

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your sick leave for.

  • Click “Next”.

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Sick Leave Request”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • Scroll down and select the reason. 

  • Click “Sick Leave with e-certificate”. 

  • Click “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request. 

Sick Leave with a paper certificate:

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your sick leave for.

  • Click “Next”.

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Sick Leave Request”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • Scroll down and select the reason. 

  • Click “Sick Leave with Paper Certificate”. 

  • You will need to upload your certificate.

  • Click “Add Attachments” and take a photo. 

  • Once you upload the picture, you will be asked to select the category.

  • Click “Time Off”. 

  • Click “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request.

Child Sickness Request:

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your sick leave for.

  • Click “Next”.

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Child Sickness Request”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • You will need to upload a certificate.

  • Click “Add Attachments” and take a photo of it. 

  • Once you upload the picture, you will be asked to select the category.

  • Click “Time Off”. 

  • Click “Done” and then “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request.

Sick Leave Work Accident Request:

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your sick leave for.

  • Click “Next”.

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Sick Leave (work accident) Request”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • Scroll down and select the reason. 

  • Click on the type of certificate you have.

  • If you have an e-certificate: 

    • Click “Submit

  • If you have a paper certificate: 

    • Click “Add Attachments” and take a photo of it. 

    • Once you upload the picture, you will be asked to select the category.

    • Click “Time Off”. 

    • Click “Done” and then “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request. 

How to request Vacation

All requests require approval from an HR team member. Dates requested are outlined in gray dots. Once approved, a green circle will appear.

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your vacation for. 

  • Click “Next”. 

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Vacation”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • Click “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request. 

Please note: The current vacation balance is always displayed as of the current date. This means that if you have requested leave for future dates, it will not be included in the balance until after you have taken it.

Vacation balance:

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.

  • Click “Balance”. 

  • Enter the day as of which you would like to see your balance for.

  • Click “Done”.

  • The display will be refreshed automatically.

  • The second column will show you your vacation balance as of the day you have inserted.

 Cancelling vacation:

If you have accidentally requested a wrong time period, you can only cancel your vacation once the HR Team approves them. It is unfortunately not possible to do the change before this. 

 

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the already approved vacation day that you want to cancel.

  • The request will open. 

  • Click the delete button at the bottom. 

  • Your vacation day is automatically removed. 

 

Please note: Vacation days will be deleted automatically from your calendar.

How to request an Unpaid Leave

Please note, it is not possible to request unpaid leave in the first 4 weeks of employment. Furthermore, it is only possible to request it for the current and following month. 

 

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • You will now see the calendar view. 

  • Click on the date(s) you want to request your leave for. 

  • Click “Next”. 

  • You will be asked to insert the type of leave.

  • Click “Unpaid Leave”. 

  • Double-check if you inserted the day(s) correctly.

  • Click “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request. 

Cancelling Unpaid Leave

If you have accidentally requested a wrong time period, you can only cancel your unpaid leave once the HR Team approves it.

  • For this, you need to click “Absence” in your Workday App Home Screen. 

  • Click on the already approved unpaid leave day.

  • The request will open. 

  • Click the delete button at the bottom. 

  • Your request will be forwarded to the HR team. 

Please note: Unpaid leave cancellations require approval from an HR team member before proceeding.

How to request a Long-term Leave

Please, note that Pregnancy and Maternity Leaves are paid by Wolt as long as all documents are there. 

If you are on pregnancy leave: Once your pregnancy leave is over, an HR colleague will contact you, and you will receive your maternity leave with an end date.

If you want to request parental leave and work part-time: Please note that you can work a maximum of 32 hours per week. 
 

  • For this, you need to click “Find” in your Workday App Home Screen in the main menu at the bottom. 

  • Type in “Long Leave” in the search bar.

  • Click “Request Time Off”. 

  • Insert the asked dates in the columns.

  • Click on “Type”, then “Germany Courier” and choose your leave.

  • Depending on the type of the leave you choose, you will be asked to fill in additional fields.

  • Add an attachment of the doctor's confirmation or birth certificate.

  • Once you have uploaded the picture, you need to select the category.

  • Click “Leave of Absence”.

  • Click “Submit” and you will receive a confirmation of your request.
